Urinary bladder

Eugen Plas, MD, FEBU, FECSM

Excretion of urine is done several times a day, most commonly consciously induced and normal bladder function accompanies us life long. As long as bladder function is considered normal, nobody really thinks about one’s filling and excretion phase. Once symptoms occur such as urinary tract infection, urgency, painful voiding or blood contamination in the urine,  well being is clearly negatively influenced. The aging process is associated with alterations of bladder function.
