Premature ejaculation

Clock

Premature ejaculation (Ejaculatio praecox) is the single most common sexual dysfunction in men. It is hard to define premature ejaculation, because it is such an extremely subjective problem. Researchers defined premature ejaculation as an unwanted ejaculates within 1 minute after vaginal penetration or prior to penetration. According to latest findings, premature ejaculation is considered to be primarily a neurobiological phenomenon related to low levels of serotonin (mood transmitters in the brain). Primary premature ejaculation applies to individuals who have had premature ejaculation since they became capable of functioning sexually. Secondary premature ejaculation applies to individuals who previously experienced an acceptable level of ejaculatory control, and, for unknown reasons, began experiencing premature ejaculation later in life. Secondary premature ejaculation can be due to physical causes such as inflammation of the prostate or erectile dysfunction.  Problems in your partnership can also lead to premature ejaculation. There are various treatment options; and now a new oral treatment is also available, which has been specifically approved for the treatment of premature ejaculation.
